The Department of Classical Studies invites applications for a term, non-tenure-track assistant professor for the academic year, starting Fall 2005. Ph.D. by August 15, 2005 and some teaching experience required. Applicants should be generalists prepared to teach Greek and/or Roman Civilization and undergraduate and graduate courses in the classical languages, especially Latin. We have just been informed by Vanderbilt University that the history position (for a senior classicist/full professor) included in the October 2004 issue of Positions for Classicists remains open.
