Virginia Wesleyan College invites applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Classics beginning August, 2003. Ph.D. by the time of employment and teaching experience required. Candidates at higher ranks also may be considered. We are looking for an energetic colleague to build a program in classical studies. The ideal candidate will be interested in teaching a variety of courses in such subjects as Latin and Greek language, literature, civilization, social history, and archaeology, and will have a strong commitment to both undergraduate teaching and to the small liberal arts college environment.
