Valparaiso University invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Greek and Roman Studies, in the Department of World Languages and Cultures (https://www.valpo.edu/world-languages-and-cultures/). This one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position will begin in August 2021. Preferred qualifications: ability to teach all levels of undergraduate Latin and Greek, with emphasis on the literature, history and material culture of ancient Greece. The successful candidate will teach courses on Greek language and civilization, epic literature, and myth, typically with a 21-credit teaching load, and participate in additional research and campus citizenship activities. Candidates should be Ph.D./ABD, committed to excellent teaching, and show promise for scholarly activity.
