Wabash College invites applications for a temporary position in Classics at the Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor level to begin July 1, 2008. The position has been approved and is for one year, with the possible renewal for a second year. Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered. Candidates must be generalists with competence in teaching both Latin and Greek at all levels and courses in translation, and a demonstrated record of excellence in undergraduate teaching. Course load is three courses each semester, likely including elementary Latin and at least one course of the candidate's choosing. Salaries and benefits competitive, including institutional support for conference attendance.
