Wabash College invites applications for a Visiting Lilly Teaching Fellow at the Assistant Professor or Instructor level. One-year position in Classics is to start July 1, 2003, at which time the Ph.D. should be in hand. Some teaching experience required. Candidates must be generalists with competence in both Latin and Greek. Demonstrated excellence in teaching elementary Latin required. The position includes a 2 course a semester load, with a one course release to participate in an ongoing project with the Center of Inquiry in the Liberal Arts and involvement in a discussion series designed to introduce new faculty to teaching in an liberal arts setting. Teaching load to include elementary Latin, an all-college course, an upper level Greek/Latin course or a course in area of specialty.
