WASHINGTON AND LEE UNIVERSITY – LEXINGTON, VA
The Department of Classics at Washington and Lee University seeks a Latinist for a one-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. The position may be extended for a second year, if funds are available, and the candidate is capable of teaching ancient Greek at all levels. Candidates should have their Ph.D. in hand by July 2008 and show evidence of excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will teach Latin at the intermediate and advanced levels, and possibly a lecture course in a subject of his or her own choosing.
