The Department of Classics of Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a term appointment (leave replacement) at the rank of Lecturer, for the academic year 2002-2003, in the field of Greek history. Candidates are sought with PhD in Classics in hand, who are prepared to teach courses in Greek and/or Latin as well as "Greek History: Archaic and Classical" (fall) and "The Age of Alexander" (spring) in our regular 4-semester sequence of ancient history courses. This visiting position will carry a teaching load of 3 and 2, the third course in the fall to be a section of a seminar-style great books course (Text and Tradition).
