Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Roman History at the rank of assistant professor. The successful candidate will show strong promise of scholarly achievement and the ability to make significant contributions to the graduate and undergraduate programs of a vibrant and growing Classics department, teaching courses in Roman history, other courses in translation, and Latin at all levels. Duties will include teaching, advising, research, and writing for publication. Applicants should submit curriculum vitae, a writing sample, course evaluations or other evidence of teaching excellence, and three letters of recommendation by November 1, 2012.
