The Department of Classics, Greek, and Latin at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan invites applications for a position at the rank of lecturer, to begin in August 2001. This is a non-tenure track position, with a term from August 19, 2001 to May 19, 2002. The full-time teaching load for a lecturer is three courses a semester. Courses to be taught will be principally or wholly in English translation, including Classical Civilization, Greek Mythology, and Greek Tragedy. A history of teaching excellence in at least two of these subjects is highly desirable. Ph.D. preferred. Salary is negotiable dependent on the successful candidate's experience and credentials.
