The Classical Studies Department at Wellesley College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin July 1, 2004. We seek candidates doing innovative, theoretically informed, and interdisciplinary work in Greek literature and culture. Candidates should be prepared to teach a broad spectrum of undergraduate courses in both Greek and Latin as well as Classical Civilization courses taught in English. Completion of Ph.D. by Oct. 1, 2004 is strongly preferred.

The deadline for application is Nov. 10, 2003. We plan to interview candidates at the APA Meetings in San Francisco, and applicants should indicate whether they will be available to interview there or whether other arrangements will need to be made.
