Ancient History: The History Department at Wofford College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor in the field of ancient history (preference for Roman, but other areas will be considered) to begin in fall 2011. The successful candidate will teach Western Civilizations survey courses as well as upper-level courses in her/his field of expertise. Applicants should plan to have completed the PhD by the time of the appointment. Wofford College places a strong emphasis on quality teaching, but dedication to scholarship and service to the college is also expected. The standard course load at Wofford is 3/1/3. Wofford College is an AA/EOE employer.
