"HERODOTUS" Summer Course 2017

The Academy for Strategic Analyses (ASA) is pleased to announce that it will be running its first “Herodotus” Summer Course in Greece from 26th June to 1st July 2017. This week-long course will consist of expert lectures from prominent scholars and a series of guided visits to the actual battlefield sites of Marathon, Thermopylae, Plataea and Salamis, as well as an opportunity to enjoy the sea and the sun of Greece.

The aim of the “Herodotus” summer course is to walk you through the writings of the Father of History and give attendees a vivid image and a clear understanding of one of the most famous wars of history, even as offering them a unique experience in heritage and historical tourism.

The “Herodotus” summer course is targeted at academics, researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate students and anyone interested in and fascinated by classical studies, ancient history, the history of warfare, strategy and geopolitics, thus aspiring at bringing together a network of experts and enthusiasts from all around the world.

Applications are now being accepted, so we would be grateful if you could be so kind as to forward this announcement to anyone you think might be interested. The application deadline is April 5th.

The tuition fees start from € 530 covering the costs of accommodation, local transportation, meals, excursions and museum tickets. Please see below for more information.
