The Departments of Classics and Philosophy intend to make a joint tenured appointment in the area of ancient philosophy, with a special interest in Plato and Aristotle; the appointment would begin July 1, 2005. The Departments of History of Art and Classics, Yale University, invite applications for a position in Greek art and archaeology at the rank of assistant professor to begin July 1, 2005. All areas of expertise, including architecture, sculpture, painting, and material culture broadly construed, are welcome.
