Seeking Tutor of Ancient Greek. As a professor of political philosophy at the University of Memphis, I am seeking a tutor of the Ancient Greek language. For the tutor only twenty-one hours of work per week will suffice to meet all living expenses plus, thanks to free housing and utilities and car access, to add to the tutor's savings account. This could be a golden opportunity for someone writing a book or a doctoral dissertation. University of Memphis professor seeks tutor of Ancient Greek to discuss Platonic texts during long walks in Chickasaw Gardens in Memphis, Tennessee. Work can begin January 2, 2015. Free access to a Volvo automobile (tutor pays gas and insurance only) also available. Total annual remuneration has a monetary value of over $30,000 annually for only 21 hours work per week. The tutor will have numerous advantages. (1) The compensation will completely suffice for the living expenses of one person in Memphis, where the cost of living is among the lowest in the United States. (2) If the tutor lives for free in my house, he or she can even add to a personal savings account while working only half-time. (3) The work on Plato is pleasant for a serious student of Ancient Greek. (4) The tutor will have many hours free each day, for example to write a doctoral dissertation or a book, for the tutoring lasts only three hours daily. (5) The tutor will get plenty of exercise while working, and while exercising earn enough money to live on. (6) Someone who has not lived in the South can experience another world in a pleasant environment and in promising circumstances. (7) In particular, Memphis is a paradise for those who love music, whether classical, blues, jazz, or rock. (8) If the tutor is a foreigner, living in Memphis will provide an opportunity to improve his or her English. (9) Option of spending summer 2014 and summers thereafter tutoring Ancient Greek in Tours, France (one hour from Paris with the fast train), with free housing, utilities, and maid service.
