The Department of Classical Studies at Boston University invites applications for a position in Latin at the rank of assistant professor (tenure-track) to begin July 1, 2017. Preference will be given to a candidate whose research profile includes Republican literature and culture and who has demonstrated potential as a scholar and excellence as a teacher. The department seeks candidates with a strong interest in questions of ethnicity, identity, race, gender, and/or sexuality: this position is part of a multi-department hiring initiative aimed at increasing the College’s strengths in critical perspectives on race, ethnicity, gender, and sexualities.
