The Department of the Classics at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts is seeking applications for three College Fellow/Lecturer positions, one in each of the following fields: 1) Ancient Greek Language and Literature; 2) Byzantine Greek Language and Literature; 3) Medieval Latin Language and Literature.

For an appointment made at the level of College Fellow, the teaching duties will include three courses, with 25% of the appointment reserved for the Fellow’s own research; the Fellow may also advise and evaluate senior theses, or conduct reading courses with graduate students. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree by the expected start date. The College Fellows program is limited to applicants who have received their degree no earlier than 2011. The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. For an appointment at the level of Lecturer, the teaching duties will include four courses; the Lecturer may also advise and evaluate senior theses or conduct reading courses with graduate students, and contribute to the supervision of graduate research. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree by the expected start date. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching. The appointment is for one year.
