Additional Requirements for Advanced Certification:
1. Completion of 18 semester-hours in a planned course of study after the issuance of the Provisional Certificate or completion of an approved Master’s or higher degree at any time
2. Three (3) years of successful teaching experience within the validity and grade level of the Provisional Certificate.
Note: Teachers who achieve National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certification are eligible for the Professional Education Certificate with the same validity year as the NBPTS certificate.
