Subject Test:
No Latin subject test. All applicants must take the New Mexico Teacher Assessments (Basic Skills and Teacher Competency)
Additional Requirements for Advanced Certification:
A. Level II Licensure
- Three (3) years of successful teaching at Level I.
- Successful completion of a formal mentoring program.3. Submission of a Professional Development Dossier compiled according to state guidelines.
B. Level III Licensure
- Three (3) years of successful teaching at Level II.
- Master's degree or advanced certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
