The Department of Classics at Cornell University seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the fields of Roman Archaeology and/or Roman Social History to begin July 1, 2016. In addition to pursuing an active program of research and publications, the person appointed will be expected to teach courses in Roman archaeology and/or Roman social history, contribute dynamically to our wider Classics program, and, where appropriate, cultivate and maintain links to other humanities departments and programs/institutes. Applicants should have the Ph.D. in hand, or expect to receive the PhD by 1 July 2016.
