The Department of Classics and Modern Languages at Xavier University, a Jesuit-Catholic institution with a strong liberal arts tradition, invites applications for an appointment as Visiting Faculty of Classics (annual contract renewable subject to performance). Applicants should have experience teaching Latin and Greek (especially lower- and intermediate-level language courses) and be prepared to teach courses in translation such as Greek civilization, Roman civilization, and Greek and Latin literature. The course load is four courses each semester. A willingness to participate in student/faculty events as part of the Honors Bachelor of Arts program is expected.

Required degree: M.A. in Classics. The deadline for applications is April 11, 2016. Review of applications will begin immediately after the deadline and will continue until the position is filled.
