The Classics Department at Dartmouth College invites applications for a position in Latin Literature at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor. The Department is especially interested in candidates who, in addition to a demonstrated expertise in Roman poetry, have complementary research interests in emergent fields of study. The classroom teaching assignment consists of four courses per year and regularly includes Latin and Greek at all levels, as well as literature in translation. It is expected that the PhD will be in hand by 1 July 2017, when the appointment begins.
