The Department of Classical Studies invites applications for a one-year appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor in Classical Studies, to begin in August 2017. Candidates must have the PhD in hand before the appointment begins. We are searching for someone specializing in Greek archaeology. The teaching load of two courses per semester includes two Greek A&A survey courses (one undergraduate, from the Bronze Age through the Persian wars; one advanced undergrad/graduate seminar, from Classical through Hellenistic), and large undergraduate courses on ancient science and technology, and on ancient athletics.
