3 POSITIONS: Professor-in-Charge, one-year appointment each for AY 2023-2024, AY 2024-2025, and AY 2025-2026, August through May, Rome, Italy. Candidates must have: strong knowledge of Ancient Rome, especially of Greek and Roman Italy; eagerness to teach undergraduates in a uniquely immersive and intensive environment that combines traditional classroom teaching with on-site instruction at museums and archaeological sites; ability to lead faculty colleagues in a team-taught course combining archaeology, history, topography, literature, and epigraphy; readiness to collaborate with Rome-based study-abroad professionals in implementing the Center’s academic and co-curricular program. Ability to teach either intermediate or advanced-level Greek or intermediate or advanced-level Latin is desirable, and a facility with spoken Italian is also a plus.
