Kenyon College, a highly selective liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in the Department of Classics, effective July 1, 2023. The Department seeks applicants whose scholarly specialties complement but do not duplicate those of current faculty

Teaching responsibilities consist of five courses. In addition to teaching the yearlong introductory Latin course, the successful candidate is expected to teach a course in advanced Latin of their own design as well as the department’s core courses in Classics Mythology and Greek Civilization. A Ph.D. in hand is preferred. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching, with evidence of support for Kenyon’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
