The Department of Classics in the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for a one-year position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics and Ancient History, to begin on August 15, 2015. Teaching duties may include a variety of undergraduate courses in Greek and Latin as well as undergraduate and graduate courses in Classical Civilization, particularly Ancient History. A Ph.D. in Classics or a related field by the time of the appointment is expected, although we will also consider advanced ABD candidates.

The Department of Classics at The University of Iowa invites applications for an 80%-time three-year Visiting Assistant Professor, to begin August 19, 2015. This is a non-tenure track position. The teaching load is six courses per academic year. In the first year the successful candidate will teach Elementary Latin Composition, Third-Semester Latin, and an on-line Medical Terminology course in the Fall and Fourth-semester Greek, an etymology course, and Medical-Terminology in the Spring.

The Department of Classical Studies at the University of Missouri, Columbia, invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship to begin in the fall of 2015. Specialization in Republican or Early Imperial Latin literature is preferred.
