The Department of Classical Studies at the College of William and Mary invites applications for a one year, non-tenture-track visiting faculty position that will begin August 10, 2017, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years. The teaching load will be three courses a semester. We seek a specialist in Roman History who can contribute to our Greek and Latin curricula and to the broad range of courses we offer in Classical Civilization.

A Master's degree is required.

The Department of Classical Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for its full-time Schrader Visiting Assistant Professorship in Classical Archaeology for the academic year 2017/18. The successful candidate will teach two advanced undergraduate courses in Greek Art and Archaeology and two large lecture courses (Ancient Athletics and Classical Mythology) over the course of the year. The Department of Classics announces a second Postdoctoral Fellowship beginning August 2017. Initial appointment is for one calendar year, with automatic renewal for two additional years pending satisfactory completion of duties, for a total of three years maximum. In addition to engagement with the undergraduate and graduate students and participation in the research program of the Department, the duties of the position shall include a teaching load of 2 courses each term, at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
