The History Department of Rutgers University-Camden seeks a full-time, tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor of Ancient World History (prior to 1000 A.D.), with a specialization in Africa, the Middle East, and/or the Mediterranean world, broadly defined. This position will contribute to the campus’s initiative to expand Global Studies. The area of specialty is open, but the successful applicant must also be able to teach survey courses in Greece and Rome. Ideal candidates will demonstrate effectiveness in teaching a diverse student body.
