The Department of Classics in the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto (St. George Campus, Downtown Toronto) invites applications for a five-year contractually limited term appointment (CLTA) in the area of Ancient Language Pedagogy. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream beginning July 1, 2023, or shortly thereafter, and ending June 30, 2028.

The Department of Classics at Haverford College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin September 1, 2023. The successful candidate will teach five courses, including those in beginning, intermediate, and/or advanced Latin and/or Greek, and on classical literature and culture taught in translation that complement and expand our existing curriculum. demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching, an appreciation for the broad

elementary and advanced levels, Greek at the intermediate level, and thematic courses

We wish to hire an Assistant Professor of Ancient History. Specific area of specialization is open, but the candidate should be prepared to support graduate students conducting research related to the Ancient Mediterranean world. In addition to being an innovative scholar with an ambitious agenda for historical research, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their field(s) of specialization. An ability to occasionally teach the world history surveys is desirable.

The Classics and Religious Studies Departments at Hamilton College invite applications for a two-year renewable visiting position in religions of Late Antiquity at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2023. We seek candidates to teach Greek and/or Latin at all levels, New Testament (in translation), and related courses. The successful candidate will be housed in the department most suitable to their training and expertise. They will teach five courses per year: two courses in each department, and one course cross-listed between the two departments.
