Colloquium in Memory of Penelope Biggs

The Department of Classics and the Program in Comparative Literature at Washington University in St. Louis will honor Dr. Penelope Biggs on Saturday, December 2nd. Dr. Biggs, whom we lost last year, was not only a great friend of our department and program, but also a highly successful teacher and scholar. Our colloquium will feature talks on three areas of particular interest to Dr. Biggs: Ovid, Sophocles, and Latin pedagogy.

The event will be held both in person and via Zoom.
