The Department of Humanities, Classics, and Comparative Literature invites applications to its Classics program for two one-year visiting positions, beginning Fall 2015, renewable for up to three years and with a possibility that the positions will be converted to a Continuing Faculty Status track (BYU’s equivalent of tenure-track). Requirements: PhD in classical studies completed before August 2015. Expectations: 3/2 or 2/3 course load (with additional summer teaching desired), consisting of Greek and/or Latin courses from elementary to senior level, plus lecture courses in translation; regular publication of research in area of specialization; limited committee work.
