The Department of Classical Languages at Wake Forest University invites applications for a one-year, non-renewable position as Visiting Assistant Professor. The appointment will be for the academic year 2015-2016. The teaching load will be three courses each semester. Wake Forest has a strong commitment to undergraduate education in the liberal arts tradition. Candidates should be prepared to teach a range of courses in Greek, Latin, and Classics. Preference will be given to candidates who have the Ph.D. degree conferred before August, 2015. Applications are due by March 1, 2015, and we expect to request letters of recommendation and to conduct interviews by telephone or teleconference in March, with on-campus interviews in April.
