Kalamazoo College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics, beginning September 2017; the position may be renewed for a third year. We seek a generalist with a high aptitude for and interest in undergraduate teaching and a commitment to the liberal arts. Candidates with specialization in Greek literature, ancient history or language pedagogy are of particular interest. The successful candidate will teach six courses over three terms, including Greek and Latin at all levels and courses in classical civilization. PhD preferred; advance ABDs considered (at the rank of Instructor).
