Oxford College of Emory University invites applications for a full-time one-year replacement position in Classics at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor for the 2014-2015 academic year. PhD preferred; ABD candidates will be considered as well. All broadly trained classicists are encouraged to apply; a specialization in Greek or Latin language and literature is preferred. Candidates must be able to teach Latin language courses at all levels and introductory Greek. Teaching responsibilities include four courses in the fall semester, one of which will be classical mythology, and three courses in the spring semester.

The successful candidate will have access to the resources of one of the world’s leading research universities including opportunities to interact with the faculty of the Emory College Classics Department on the Atlanta campus and to use the Woodruff Library.
