The Department of Classics at the University of Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in Greek literature, with a preference for someone with interests in Homeric or other early Greek poetry, anticipated to commence July 1, 2016. Candidates will be expected to provide evidence of success as a teacher. Conferral of Ph.D. by June 30, 2016 is highly preferred, and Ph.D. degree must be conferred within one year of start date.
