The Classics Department of Fordham University invites applications for a Lecturer Position for the academic year 2018-2019. Candidates with a strong interest in teaching classical languages, classical civilization including myth, and reception studies are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be able to teach the Latin language at all levels.

The Department of Classics at the University of Virginia seeks applications to fill an Assistant Professor position on the Academic General Faculty (tenure-ineligible) to begin in the 2018-2019 academic year. Subject areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, introductory and intermediate Greek and Latin, Greek and Roman civilization, ancient drama, Roman historiography. The appointment will be for 3 years. The course load for a full-time position is three courses per semester with some administrative service to the department.

The Classics Department at Oberlin College is pleased to announce a one-year post-doctoral position funded by a generous donation from Oberlin alumnus Thomas Cooper. The Department invites applications for a full-time non-continuing faculty position as a Thomas F. Cooper Postdoctoral Fellow in the College of Arts and Sciences. Appointment to this position will be for a term of one year beginning first semester of 2018-19 and will carry the rank of Assistant Professor.

This is a fixed-term position of one year, with possibility of renewal for at least one additional year. We seek an individual with the ability to teach introductory and advanced courses in Greco-Roman material culture as well as Latin at the intermediate level.

The Department of Classical Studies at William & Mary invites applications for a one year, non-tenure-track lecturer position that will begin August 10, 2018. This is a fixed-term position of one year, with possibility of renewal. We seek an individual with expertise in Biblical Hebrew who can also assist the department in expanding the scope of its curriculum beyond the traditional focus on the Greco-Roman world.

Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics: one year position beginning August 16, 2018. We seek ageneralist to teach primarily Latin language at all undergraduate levels. Ability to teach ancient Greek and/or classical civilization is also desirable. Teaching load is 4/4. Ph.D. in Classics or related field is required.
