The Vassar College Department of Greek and Roman Studies invites applications for the Blegen Research Fellowship in 2020-2021.

Wabash College invites applications for a one-year appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics to begin July 1, 2020. Candidates must be generalists with demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching, an appreciation for the broad intellectual community of an outstanding liberal arts college, and the ability to work with a diverse student body. Teaching responsibilities will include Beginning Latin, Intermediate Greek, and Mythology, as well as courses in Greek and/or Latin at the advanced levels. Course load is 3-3. Ph.D. preferred by time of appointment.

The Department of Languages and Cultures at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University (CSB/SJU) is seeking enthusiastic applicants for a two-year position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of German beginning August 2020. The American School of Classical Studies at Athens seeks an established scholar with extensive experience in Greece for the position of the Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Classical Studies. The Mellon Professor organizes and conducts the academic program of the School in collaboration with the Director and the Assistant Director and must be able to provide a graduate-level introduction to the sites, monuments, museums and topography of Greece as well as advise students of the School in their research.

The Department of Classics at Dartmouth College invites applications for a one-year position at the rank of Lecturer, to begin September 1, 2020. This is a non-tenure track, full-time position, with the possibility of renewal for a second year depending on the staffing needs of the department. Responsibilities will include the teaching of either five or six courses over three ten-week academic quarters running from September to November, January to early March, and mid-March to mid-June.
