The Department of Classics at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin Fall of academic year 2024-25. We seek a Hellenist with research expertise in intellectual history or the history of science whose work expands the traditional purview of classics either methodologically, geographically, or temporally.

The Department of Classics at Stanford University invites applications for the post of tenure-track Assistant Professor in Greek or Latin literature, specializing in one or more of the following areas: Latin literature of later antiquity (3^rd-7th centuries); Latin poetry of the Augustan period; Greek prose (non-philosophical); post-Classical Greek literature. In addition, we welcome applicants with demonstrated skills in text-based ancillary disciplines (palaeography, epigraphy, papyrology) and broader interests in the theory and history of literature.
