Out of Chaos Theater Company presents Playing Antigone, a Student Theatrical Competition.
Choose a scene from Antigone, film it and send it to Out of Chaos by 18th February 2024 for the chance to win cash prizes!
The contest is open to high school and college students in the US and Canada, and they are using Paul Woodruff's translation of Sophocles’ Antigone (courtesy of Hackett Publishing Company).
FRAGMENTS is a ground-breaking new play by Laura Swift and Russell Bender produced by Potential Difference that will premiere in a 4-week run at The Playground Theatre in London, Latimer Road, from 14 April - 6 May.

Plautus in the late 19th c Heartland: a Symposium and Performance
In May 1884, nine female students at Washington University in St. Louis staged a performance of Plautus’ Rudens (“The Rope”) in Latin, also publishing their own English translation to coincide with the event. The Washington University Ladies’ Literary Society was one of the first groups in America to perform an ancient comedy in Latin, and their work made a splash at the university and in St. Louis.
