Dear Members,

As of Friday March 13, 2020, SCS staff will be working remotely until further notice. We have taken this step in order to comply with the current policies of NYU, our host institution. Fortunately, we expect there to be little disruption to our operations. You can still do the following online:

- Renew your membership

- Use the placement service

- Make a submission for the 2021 meeting

- Make a donation

- Access all portions of our website as usual

The best way to contact us during this period is at info@classicalstudies.org. We will respond promptly. To reach us by phone, please use 646 939 0435. We plan to check our physical mail on a regular basis but would prefer members to use online communication if possible at this time.

We realize that this is a challenging time for all our members in all locations around the globe. The SCS board of directors has approved a policy allowing short-term fellowships and grants to be deferred if necessary. SCS staff are in discussions with VP for Program Cynthia Damon about the 2021 annual meeting program and the timeline for submissions. We will publish our March newsletter, as scheduled, on Thursday, March 19. Please also look out in the next few days for some announcements about new online resources that we will be publishing and sharing. As always, we are @scsclassics on Twitter and you can find us on Facebook.

We aim to keep in touch with and serve all our members as usual.

Sincerely,

Helen Cullyer

Executive Director
