The Department of Classical Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, invites applications for its full-time Schrader Visiting Assistant Professorship in Classical Archaeology for the academic year 2019/20. We seek an individual with expertise in Roman Art and Archaeology. The successful candidate will teach two undergraduate courses each semester, one of which will be Classical Mythology (a large lecture course), the other a course in Roman Art and Archaeology. This position carries an annual salary of $60,000 and a $2,000 research budget. Candidates must hold a Ph.D.

The Department of Greek and Roman Studies invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach Greek Civilization, ancient Greek, Greek and Roman Mythology, and Greek and Roman Religion. The position also offers the opportunity for the successful applicant to design her or his own course on a topic in Greek and Roman Civilization. The successful applicant will be expected to teach six courses over two semesters.

The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (Penn Museum) and the School of Arts and Sciences are seeking a Teaching Specialist in Digital Archaeology for the Center for Analysis of Archaeological Materials (CAAM; http://penn.museum/caam). CAAM is a joint endeavor of the Penn Museum and Penn’s School of Arts and Sciences and conducts teaching and mentoring of students in archaeological science at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Department of Classics at Georgetown University invites applications for a possible one-year position (2019/20) as a visiting assistant professor in Roman history and culture. Teaching load is three courses per semester; the candidate is expected to teach undergraduate classes in Roman history and culture in translation at all levels and may also teach Latin.
