The Department of Classics at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a three-year position as Assistant Professor of Classics on the Academic General Faculty track (tenure-ineligible), to start in the 2019–2020 academic year.

Curricular areas of need include Latin, Greek, and aspects of classical civilization. The teaching load is three courses per semester, predominantly at the undergraduate level but with the possibility of graduate instruction. Compensation will take the form of full-time salary with full-time benefits.
