The Department of the Classics at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure-stream position in ancient history at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall semester 2018. The department seeks a teacher/scholar with an active research agenda and the ability to offer a range of courses in Greco-Roman history and civilization, with competence to address the breadth and diversity of cultures in the ancient Mediterranean world. Position Summary:

The San Antonio Museum of Art and Trinity University invite applications for a post-doc fellowship in the history of art and material culture, awarded for the two-year period beginning August 2018. The fellowship offers a stipend of $46,000/year. While in residence in San Antonio, the post-doc Fellow will hold department affiliation and joint appointment with Trinity University and the San Antonio Museum of Art, teach one course per semester, and have the opportunity for scholarly research, exhibition, and publication in one of the San Antonio Museum of Art’s collecting areas.

The Department of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies (CAMS) at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for the appointment of a tenure-track assistant professor or a tenured associate professor in the field of Greek language and literature, beginning August 2018.

The Department of Classics at Stanford University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Latin literature. All periods will be considered from Early Republican through Later Latin, with a preference for poetry over prose.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach graduate level courses in Latin literature (including broad field surveys) as well as undergraduate level courses (both in Greek and Latin and in translation).

The Department of Classics at Florida State University has been authorized to make a full-time appointment in Roman Archaeology at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track), effective August 2018.
