The Classics Department at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit, Catholic university, invites applications for an Academic Year Adjunct Lecturer (one-year, non-tenure track) in Roman culture and literature. Courses may include undergraduate reading courses in Latin and Greek, a two-quarter first-year humanities core course (Cultures and Ideas), and a Roman Civilization course that satisfies the university’s advanced writing core requirement. Specific courses will be chosen according to the academic qualifications of the individual and programmatic need.

The Department of Classics at Georgetown University invites applications for a three-year non-tenure-line Assistant Teaching Professor position in Greek literature and culture to begin in August 2021.

The teaching load is three courses per semester. The candidate is expected to teach courses on Greek literature and culture in translation as well as Greek language courses at all levels. The candidate may also teach Latin language courses. A PhD must be in hand by the appointment start date, August 1.

This is a full-time non-tenure-track appointment that begins August 1, 2021. The successful candidate will have, at the minimum, a Master’s degree in Classics or a closely related field.

The Department of Greek, Latin and Classical Studies at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2021. The teaching load is 3/3. The successful candidate will teach six classes, including a freshman writing seminar (ESEM), courses in Latin (and/or Greek), and courses in translation on ancient Roman (or Greek) civilization.

The Art and Art History department at Occidental College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor appointment to begin August 2021. The position is for three years.
