Successful candidates should have a research focus on Archaic Greek literature (especially Homer and early epic) and early Greek language. We welcome applicants with an expertise in both Archaic Greek Literature and Comparative Philology. Successful candidates are expected to teach, inter alia, both in the program for Ancient Greek Studies and in the program for Historical Linguistics/Comparative Indo-European Philology.
Successful candidates should have the following qualifications:
Appalachian State University in Boone, NC seeks an art historian with a specialization in the art and visual culture of the Ancient/Medieval world (up to 1400 CE), with emphasis on cross-cultural and colonial contact. Experience with cultural management, museum studies, and/or digital humanities is additionally desired.
