Position Details: Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a full-time, one-year leave replacement (5 courses) position as Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Classics, to begin September 1, 2015. The Department of Classical Studies at Wellesley College invites applications for a one-year visiting lecturer position for the academic year 2015-16. The position is .8 FTE (Full Time Equivalent), with a salary of $44,000 if the PhD is completed by Oct. 1, 2015. The ideal candidate will have completed the PhD by that date and will have successful experience teaching Greek and Latin. Teaching program of four courses (total) would probably include Greek courses at all levels and one beginning Latin course.

The Department of the Classics at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts is seeking applications for three College Fellow/Lecturer positions, one in each of the following fields: 1) Ancient Greek Language and Literature; 2) Byzantine Greek Language and Literature; 3) Medieval Latin Language and Literature.

Position Description: The Department of the Classics seeks applications for a lecturer in Ancient History. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2015. The lecturer will be responsible for four courses, comprising three undergraduate courses and a graduate seminar, and may also advise and evaluate senior theses or conduct reading courses with graduate students, and contribute to the supervision of graduate research. The position is for one year.

Monmouth College, a liberal arts college and member of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest, announces a one-year, full-time, sabbatical replacement position in Classics, with a concentration in Classical archaeology, for the academic year 2015-2016. Teaching responsibilities are three courses each semester, including Elementary Latin 101-102, Classical Mythology, Classical and World archaeology courses, and an archaeological lab course based on the Monmouth College North American Artifact Collection. Ph.D in classical archaeology and evidence of teaching excellence are highly desirable.

The History of Art and Visual Culture Department (havc.ucsc.edu), at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for the position of postdoctoral scholar - employee position in Mediterranean Studies predating the Early Modern Period.

The Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World at Brown University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in the field of classical archaeology, with a preference for candidates with research interests in the Classical, Hellenistic or Roman periods. Scholars with museum experience and/or active fieldwork projects are of particular interest. Teaching will be at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; interdisciplinary offerings are desirable.

The Department of Classical & Modern Languages in the School of Arts & Letters at Truman State University is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in Classics with specialization in Latin to start August 2015, pending funding and final approval.
